Kemosabe Cabins are 8 miles from the finish line of the 2010 Midnight Run!  We will celebrate race day champions with a complimentary chili and cornbread dinner and bonfire for all of our guests on the evening of Feb 21st.  This is an awesome event for the whole family and we are proud to be a part of the 20th anniversary!

The Midnight Run is an eight dog race, much faster race than the longer distance U.P. 200, due to the distance involved.    This race has become one of the most popular races for the Upper Peninsula's sled dog racing weekend, primarily due to the fine field of competitors it routinely draws.

The Midnight Run starts in Gwinn early Friday evening, February 19, 2010. The trail will follow the original UP200 trail from Gwinn to Marquette (near the Carp River) and on to Deerton for the mandatory layover.  From Deerton the teams will continue on for a Saturday morning finish in Munising.

Approximate Mileage:
  • Gwinn to Deerton 46 miles
  • Deerton to Munising 43 miles
  • See map on Upper Peninsula Sled Dog Association here.
